‘think global act local’
New ideas are needed for the future of the Eiermannbau in Apolda: not just one good idea but the ideas and imagination of many. After 22 years of disuse, it is time to give this special monument of industrial modernism a proper purpose.
The new annual IBA Campus brings together experts from different disciplines and nationalities as a temporary international collective. Each year, we will work together on an IBA project location in Thüringen. In 2016, the IBA Campus will focus on and be based in the Eiermannbau in Apolda. The results will be presented as part of the IBA LeerGut Conference on 30 June 2016.
In 2016, we will be awarding scholarships to twelve participants. Be part of the IBA process and join us in shaping the future of Thüringen. Students and graduates from the fields of art, design, architecture, urban planning and economics are welcome to apply, as are lateral thinkers from other disciplines interested in taking part in a real-world experiment. Join us in reactivating the Eiermannbau for Apolda.
